About New England College (NEC)
New England College was established in 1946 to serve the educational demand that came with the G.I. Bill. It’s now part of the top tier of northern region baccalaureate colleges in the annual US News & World Report rankings. That’s an impressive status for a very small school. The campus in Henniker, New Hampshire serves approximately 2000 students through 33 bachelor’s degree programs and 14 graduate degree programs.
Distance learning options include a master’s of education degree or certificate with several concentrations and MBA degree programs in digital media, healthcare, finance, project management and leadership. Several associate’s and bachelor degree programs are also offered through New England College Online.
Why we like New England College Online…
Reason #1: The Price is Right
A 40-credit online MBA officially costs about $20,000 at New England College. The published price is $532 per credit, but virtually every student receives financial aid in the form of federal grants. Online MBAs from plenty of state schools cost two or three times as much — and they top out around $120K. The New England College degree will pay you back quickly if you play your cards right!
The published tuition for the online master’s of education is $420 per credit hour.
Reason #2: Prestigious Ranking
Earlier this year New England College was ranked #46 among hundreds of liberal arts colleges by US News & World Report. Some of the criteria included admissions selectivity, career support for students, and accreditation.
Reason #3: Convenience
Most students in the online master’s of education program work during the day. The same goes for about 90% of students in the online MBA program. Class schedules assume that students have full-time or part-time commitments elsewhere, so the workload is manageable for just about everybody.
Terms are just seven weeks long and students can log on to class anytime. The 10 classes in the MBA program can be completed in as little as two years or stretched over more time. Open enrollment lets students start year-round.
